OREGON – The Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission has announced updates to its camping reservation policies following a virtual meeting on February 24, 2026. The new rules will take effect in April 2026 and include changes to the cancellation policy, reservation rate ranges, and the special access pass program.
The updated cancellation policy will no longer offer refunds on the day of arrival, and no-show reservations will not be refunded. Refunds for cancellations will depend on how long the reservation was held and how close to the arrival date it is canceled, the commission said.
The special access pass will now be available only to Oregon residents, offering benefits such as free day-use parking year-round and four nights of free camping per month.
