After an investigation that lasted two years, records showing what happened during a police shootout in Pierce County in 2023 have been released.
The Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and determined the deputies were not only justified in shooting murder suspect Kody Olsen, but likely saved their own lives in doing so.
