A Tuesday afternoon on Westwood Avenue turned violent when a 17-year-old boy was shot in West Baltimore and rushed to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Officers responded to the 2100 block of Westwood Avenue around 2:09 p.m., where they found the teen conscious and breathing. Patrol officers provided first aid at the scene until medics arrived and took him for treatment.
