Man indicted for 2020 murder of MFD firefighter

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis man has been indicted for the murder of a firefighter in Aug. 2020.

According to court documents, on Feb. 26, Delvone Williams was indicted on criminal charges for first-degree felony murder, premeditated murder, and attempted aggravated robbery.

The charges date back to a fatal shooting that took place on Eastwind Drive near Hillcrest Apartments; the victim was later identified as Courtney Anderson, a firefighter with the Memphis Fire Department who was off-duty at the time of the incident.

Court records allege that Williams shot and killed Anderson while attempting to rob him of his backpack…
