On Tuesday, March 3rd, the Proud Patriots of SML held their regular monthly meeting in Moneta.
Members said they were honored to host John Long, Director of Education at the National D-Day Memorial, as the guest speaker. “His compelling presentation included an overview of the history of D-day and the memorial itself.”
The National D-Day Memorial, which attracts over 50,000 visitors annually, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Notably, Bedford now carries the distinction of being named the only WWII Heritage City in Virginia. Mr. Long reminded everyone that “Freedom is not Free”…
