ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A woman from Canandaigua has been found guilty of grand larceny after stealing business funds for personal use.
44-year-old Monique E. Barrette-Lewis was convicted of second and third-degree grand larceny and first-degree scheme to defraud. She is facing a minimum sentence of three-to-six years in prison and a maximum of seven and a half to 15 years in prison.
Barrette-Lewis was arrested on May 9, 2024, after spending $75,000 on her employer’s business credit cards. These payments happened between October 2023 and April 2024. Investigators said the payments weren’t connected to any legitimate business purpose…
