Multiple people rescued following flooding in part of Ohio

OHIO — Several people were rescued overnight after heavy rainfall caused rising water levels and flooding in parts of Butler County, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the department’s Emergency Response Services Team worked with the Morgan Township Fire Department to assist residents and respond to multiple flooding incidents. Crews were called to help people whose vehicles became stranded in high water across the community.

Authorities said flooding problems were largely tied to Dry Fork Creek, which caused issues throughout Morgan Township. Several homes were affected along Okeana, Drewsburg and Church streets…
