DC Councilmember Trayon White to appear for ethics hearing amid federal bribery charge

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C. Councilmember Trayon White is set to appear before the District of Columbia Board of Ethics and Government Accountability on Thursday afternoon for an ethics hearing amid his alleged federal bribery scandal.

White faces three counts with the board. He is accused of failing to file financial disclosure forms in accordance with D.C. law.

White is also facing a federal bribery charge, accused of taking money and promising government contracts. Prosecutors accuse White of accepting tens of thousands of dollars in bribes in exchange for steering city contracts…
