7th fire reported at vacant Jolie Apartments; BCFD assists with tanker

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Jolie Apartments caught on fire Wednesday morning, but being prepared helped save the day.

Dark and heavy smoke could be seen from far away as over 20 fire units responded to the blaze on Quail Creek.

And fortunately, quick thinking by Fire Chief Clarence Reese to have water tankers on site helped douse the flames. He had plans in place to combat fires as the city was dealing with little to no water pressure for part of the week as repairs were being made to a major water transmission line…
