Shreveport updates bottled water distribution

SHREVEPORT, La. — The City of Shreveport has announced a major update to its bottled water distribution efforts as residents navigate the third day of a citywide water crisis.

Effective Wednesday morning, city officials confirmed that the initial distribution points at Huntington High School and Lee Hedges Stadium have been deactivated to make way for four new, strategically placed city-operated sites.

Beginning at 10 a.m., residents can find bottled water at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds on Pershing Drive, the Shreve City Shopping Center on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, the former Brookshire’s lot at 6140 Greenwood Road, and Summer Grove Baptist Church on Jewella Avenue.
