Interfaith Sanctuary closes longtime shelter, opens 205-bed Shelter Home with expanded ser

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — After nearly 20 years of providing emergency overnight shelter on River Street, Interfaith Sanctuary has officially closed its longtime facility as guests complete their move into a new, expanded Shelter Home on State Street.

Interfaith Sanctuary has operated an emergency overnight shelter at 1620 W. River St. for people experiencing homelessness. The nonprofit has now closed that location and transitioned operations to 4306 W. State St., a 42,500-square-foot facility designed to serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness with expanded services.
