ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department said a man taken into custody by officers died two days after having a “serious medical episode.” According to APD, they received a call about 40-year-old Dyonte Layne Lindsey, who was walking on I-40 between Coors Blvd. and Unser Blvd, and possibly hallucinating on March 1.
When officers approached, they said he was armed with a knife. They said he ignored their commands and turned to walk back into lanes of traffic. That’s when an officer used his Taser. Additional officers were needed to take Lindsey into custody…
