The New England Wildlife Center in Weymouth, Massachusetts, recently shared with the community that it treated an unusual patient at its Odd Pet Vet clinic: a red-tailed hawk from a local falconry program that came in for a checkup with Medical Director and Wildlife Veterinarian Dr. Priya Patel. In a March 4th announcement, the center described the visit as “a special visit,” noting that while Patel typically treats patients in the wildlife hospital, “falconry birds fall into a special category where her wildlife expertise comes in handy.”
