The long-anticipated opening of Bimini Basin Seafood and Cocktails took place Feb. 28, filled with a gentle ocean breeze and guests ready to check out the experience. Attendees were invited to enter from both the boat dock in the rear and through the prominent front doors. Bimini Basin Seafood and Cocktails is located on the Bimini Basin, a waterfront destination south of Cape Coral Parkway at 458 Tudor Drive, featuring direct access to the Gulf. Phelan Family Brands, a hospitality company based in Collier County, Florida, owns and operates Bimini Basin Seafood and Cocktails. Regarding the location’s soft opening, CEO and co-owner Grant Phelan simply stated, “I am excited!” The restaurant is now open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Marissa Goff, the newly minted restaurant’s general manager, explained, “Grant (Phelan) likes to name his restaurants after their locations, and this entire space looks out over the Bimini Basin.” Phelan’s restaurant ownership includes one Hogfish Harry’s, a single Keewaydin’s upscale American restaurant on Naples’ swanky Fifth Avenue South, five Deep Lagoons and more than 10 Pinchers locations throughout Southwest Florida and Key West. Phelan Family Brands debuted in 1997 with a single Pinchers restaurant.
Goff said, “Bimini Basin Seafood and Cocktails is a mashup of Grant’s other four restaurants. We took all the best traits from those menus and combined them here.” Goff, like Phelan, is a Pinchers pioneer. She became a Pinchers manager in 2017 and a Pinchers General Manager in 2019, working at the Tarpon Point and Edison Ford Pinchers before landing the GM job at Bimini Basin Seafood and Cocktails…
