COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A man has been charged in connection with his wife’s death after police were called to a home in southwest Columbus late last month.
Porfirio Sanchez-Eufracio was arrested Wednesday on a charge of murder. He appeared in court Thursday morning and had his arraignment continued to Friday morning, according to online court records.
Police were called on Feb. 23 to a home in the 1600 block of Dyer Road in the Willow Creek neighborhood. Sanchez-Eufracio reportedly told officers that he was involved in a fight with his wife, Hairacema Sanchez, according to an affidavit.

Sanchez, 35, was found on the floor with a large wound to her neck, detectives said. She was pronounced dead less than an hour later. A Columbus police spokesperson said it was a “very gruesome scene.” Watch previous coverage in the player above.…
