Driver caught going 101 mph on US 29 S during High Point speed crackdown, police say

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — The High Point Police Department released numbers from a speed enforcement project conducted Thursday morning.

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., officers issued 90 citations and served one warrant during a speeding crackdown on US 29 South at Baker Road.

Officers stopped one driver going 101 mph, according to police. The speed limit in that area is 55 miles per hour…
