Deputies responded to the scene on February 10 after receiving reports of a person spotted in the lake shortly before 1:30 p.m., according to statements released later that evening.
Sheriff’s officials, along with members of the department’s dive team, arrived promptly and began recovery operations. Upon retrieval, authorities confirmed that the individual was already deceased.
