Police: Business owner in Colonial Park Mall steals 50 gold coins from seller

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The owner of a gold dealer business in the Colonial Park Mall faces charges after allegedly giving a seller a bad check in exchange for dozens of gold coins, according to police.

Lower Paxton Township Police charged 41-year-old Christian Carter, of Montgomery County, on Thursday after he refused to return the gold coins, court documents filed by police said.

According to police, Carter owns and operates the Simple Gold Exchange in the Colonial Park Mall. An inquiry was left with the mall ownership Thursday afternoon to see if the stand is still there.
