High Springs woman arrested for stealing over $20,000 in lottery tickets from employer

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Penny Marie Cason, 51, has been charged with grand theft over $20,000 after allegedly stealing over $20,000 in lottery tickets from her employer.

A High Springs Police Department officer responded to High Springs Pure (23179 W. U.S. Hwy 27), where the general manager said he was working with the Florida Lottery to determine how much was actually taken, but in looking “at the last few incidents,” the loss was already over $20,000. The general manager said the incidents covered a two-month span, and he said Cason had admitted to the thefts…
