LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– A 74-year-old Laingsburg man died on Thursday after falling through the ice on Lake Victoria in Clinton County while ice fishing.
According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a report of the man falling through the ice at around 9:50 a.m.
Emergency responders from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, local fire departments, and EMS were sent to the scene. Responders told 6 News the man was in the water, wearing a floatation ice fishing suit and waving for help.
They were able to rescue the man and “immediately began lifesaving efforts,” and the man had been in the water for almost 30 minutes…
