Madison Elise Hardy, 19, of Kennesaw, is accused of leaving a dog in the backseat of a vehicle in a crate covered by a blanket while the windows were rolled up and locked on Feb. 27 at 3:48 p.m. at the Shiloh Square Shopping Center, 3895 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Hardy’s vehicle was likely in excess of 100 degrees due to it being sealed shut and the outside temperature being 65 degrees and sunny, according to the warrant.
Hardy is charged with cruelty to animals. She was arrested on Feb. 27 at 5:15 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
