2 fmr. Stanislaus County school officials sentenced for $1.5M embezzlement

(FOX40.COM) — Two former school district officials in Stanislaus County were sentenced to prison for stealing more than $1.5 million in federal funds meant for school programs.

Jeffrey Menge, who served as the assistant superintendent and chief business officer of the Patterson Joint Unified School District, and Eric Drabert, who was the district’s IT director, were sentenced to 30 months and 18 months in prison, respectively, for embezzling money from the school district.

Menge embezzled about $1.5 million, while Drabert stole roughly $276,000, prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of California said…
