IBERVILLE PARISH, La. (WAFB) – An Elayn Hunt inmate fathered a set of twins with a high-ranking prison employee, according to sources.
Thursday morning, Francis Smith turned herself in and was charged with malfeasance in office, sexual conduct with a person in an institution. Both charges are felonies. Smith, who is 38 years old, previously resigned from the rank of major at the facility on September 12, 2025.
