Dallas man arrested after evading police and barricading himself in residence

DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas man was arrested after evading police and barricading himself in a residence, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

On March 3, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., a DPS Trooper patrolling Frankford Rd near the Dallas North Tollway received an alert from an automated license plate reader. The alert indicated that the vehicle’s registered owner had active felony and misdemeanor warrants. The Trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled to the 4100 block of Firebrick Lane in Dallas and barricaded himself in a residence, according to a press release from the department.

The Dallas Police Department SWAT team responded to the scene and entered the residence, but the suspect had absconded before their entry. The following day, March 4, 2026, the DPS Criminal Investigations Division located and arrested the suspect without incident…
