Police: Woman found eating cereal, petting dog inside Springfield home

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. β€” A woman from Clinton is facing a felony after allegedly breaking into a Springfield home, taking an unauthorized helping of Fruity Pebbles and leaving a mess in the kitchen while the homeowner was outside doing yardwork.

According to online court dockets, Teara Joann Smith, born in 2002, is charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony, in Greene County Circuit Court.
