New AI-driven school in The Woodlands limits core learning to two hours a day

Students at a new AI-driven school in this affluent Houston suburb will spend just two hours in core learning classes—at the hefty cost of $40,000 a year.

Alpha The Woodlands—a private school system using AI-powered educational models—will open at 2000 Woodlands Parkway this fall, according to a press release from The Woodlands developer Howard Hughes Communities. The facility will be the first of its kind in the Houston area.

The location will initially serve students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Alpha School, the network opening The Woodlands campus, advertises that students will complete their core learning academics in just two hours each morning…
