1 injured in Northwoods Mall stabbing, woman in custody faces attempted murder charge

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A woman is in custody and faces a charge of attempted murder after a stabbing left one person with non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday, the North Charleston Police Department says.

20-year-old Nevaeh Burgess-Brown is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

NCPD said that Burgess-Brown was involved in a physical altercation in front of a store around 10 a.m. Mall security had already broken up the fight and removed the knife when officers arrived and placed her under arrest, NCPD added…
