COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – An 18-year-old University of South Carolina student accused of stabbing a man walking his dog in Columbia’s Shandon neighborhood has been released from jail and is receiving care at a mental health facility, according to his attorney.
Police say the suspect stabbed the victim just after 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of Wheat Street. The suspect was charged with assault and battery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
He was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond, which required no money to be posted. He had no prior criminal record…
