ANN ARBOR, MI – A man accused of fatally shooting another man in 2023 said Thursday he did so to protect himself and his sister.
Angelo Weems, 37, told the jury March 5 that he had seen Darian Taylor point a gun at his sister while she was fighting with one of Taylor’s family members.
“I told him that he was tripping. Put the gun down,” Weems said. “I told him, like, ‘it’s two females right now. Why would you point the gun at anyone?’”…
