MT. PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – One of the finest men and head coaches in the history of the University of South Carolina Athletics, Lou Holtz has passed away.
Holtz passed this afternoon at the age of 89 after battling illness.
Coach came to USC after being out of coaching for two years in the late 1990’s. He quickly turned the Gamecocks from a winless ball club into a formidable foe winning back to back Outback Bowl’s in the 2000 and 2001 seasons…
