BENSON, N.C. — A dump truck driver was injured Thursday afternoon when the vehicle overturned on a rural Johnston County road.
The crash was reported just after noon on Massengill Farm Road, off N.C. 242 South, according to authorities.
Officials said the dump truck traveled off the roadway and overturned onto its side, spilling a load of dirt.
The driver was transported by Johnston County EMS to UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield with injuries described as non-life threatening.
