Greensboro police crack down on speeding along Randleman Road

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro police conducted a speed-reduction operation on Randleman Road in February after multiple complaints about the corridor and a business along the road, and the business and its employees are reacting to the presence and citation data.

“We’ve seen a presence, but it wasn’t long-lived … They were here. They showed their faces, but after that, we haven’t seen too much more,” Sales Manager at Triad Meat Company CJ Rudd said.

The GPD posted citations from their presence on Feb. 9 and the period of Feb 22 through Feb. 24. The GPD cited 30 people for speeding during that program and said multiple drivers were going more than 60 in a 35 mph zone.

“You see it as we sit here and work. You can look out the window. You’ll see a car going 60, 70 … You won’t see any presence of the police,” Rudd said…
