Plant City Traffic Alert: Major Lane Shift Hits SR 39 This Thursday

PLANT CITY, Fla. – Drivers in Plant City should prepare for a significant change to their morning commute starting Thursday, March 5, 2026. Very early that morning, the Florida Department of Transportation will shift all traffic on SR 39 to the east side of the highway. This specific shift affects the stretch of road between Sparkman Road and Kilgore Road, including the busy intersection at Trapnell Road.
