LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKRC) – A Kentucky woman said, instead of being reimbursed, she was left with a big bill after her house was torn down and the bricks taken away and sold, reports WAVE.
Stacy Johnson’s Louisville home burned down in August 2024 after a fire started at a neighboring property. Because she had to close her landscaping business due to the fire, and she had no insurance and her neighbor’s insurance denied responsibility, Johnson was unable to afford necessary repairs to her home, and the city ordered it to be demolished.
