‘Create a safer Louisville’: LMPD Foundation launches Repeat Offender Initiative

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Law enforcement agencies, community organizations and more are coming together for a new initiative to help curb violent crime in Louisville, called the Repeat Offender Initiative.

The intention is to not only curb crime but also to make sure organizations are on the same page and can hold one another accountable.

“A lot of the right leadership is in the right place; there’s a lot of synergy here in Louisville. Everybody wants to create a safer Louisville,” said Joshua Chavez, Director of Crime Reduction Programs for the LMPD Foundation…
