Second Midstate school district keeping students home to avoid spread of illness

BYRDSTOWN, Tenn. (WSMV) – Another Middle Tennessee school district decided to transition to virtual learning this week after illness began affecting students and staff this week.

The Picket County school system announced on Wednesday that all students will be staying home on Thursday and Friday “due to sickness.” Overton County Schools announced a similar decision on Tuesday.
