Hundreds of friends, family members and community supporters gathered in Nelson Park on Wednesday for a candlelight vigil to remember Dustin DeWitt, a 21-year-old Stockton man fatally stabbed earlier this week.
The vigil, held in the early evening, featured emotional tributes, shared memories and calls for justice as attendees lit candles and reflected on DeWitt’s life. He was described by loved ones as someone who brought joy to everyday moments, from making sandwiches to spoiling his family.
