DOT project targets congestion and safety at key intersections in East Onondaga County

A $7 million transportation project aimed at reducing congestion and improving safety is underway at several busy intersections in northern Onondaga County, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

The project will reconstruct seven junctions Clay, Cicero, and North Syracuse. Improvements are designed to ease traffic flow for drivers entering and exiting Interstate 81 and New York State Route 481 while also adding new crosswalks and upgraded traffic signals to improve safety for pedestrians and other road users.
