On Tuesday, Jan. 13, officers responded to County Avenue following a crash between a 2023 Telsa Model 3, driven by Jobeth Manga and a 2024 Hyundai Kona, after the Tesla struck the Hyundai while it was attempting to make al eft turn into the UPS parking lot, Secaucus police said.
The driver of the Hyundai Kona sustained serious bodily injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance, police said.
An investigation determined Manga was operating his Tesla recklessly and traveling at nearly triple the posted speed limit on County Avenue, a 25 mph zone, police said.
