Steve Harvey Loses It Over Hilarious (and Questionable) Reasons Not to Brush Your Teeth on “Family Feud”
“Family Feud” host Steve Harvey is no stranger to outlandish answers, but a recent episode saw him in stitches over contestants’ creative (and frankly, unhygienic) excuses for skipping dental hygiene. The Hunter family had Harvey doubled over with laughter as they tackled the survey question: “Tell me a reason you haven’t brushed your teeth for a few days.”
The game kicked off with Drew from the Shedd family and Lakeisha from the Hunter family facing off. Drew’s initial guess, “Forgot to,” failed to make the board.
Lakeisha, however, struck gold with “Dental work,” securing the top spot and giving her team control. Harvey humorously advised Drew to keep such answers to himself in the future.
The Hunter family then took the reins, delivering a series of answers that ranged from the plausible to the preposterous. Sharon’s “Don’t have a toothbrush” landed in the top five, earning some points.
But it was Lashandra’s “Depressed” that truly tickled Harvey. “You think you’re depressed?
Wait till you say ‘Hi’ to somebody,” he quipped, much to the audience’s amusement. Surprisingly, “Depressed” made the board, keeping the Hunter family in the game.
The laughter continued with Erissa’s suggestion of “You’re in jail,” which, while funny, wasn’t on the board, leading to their first strike. Then came John, who delivered the punchline of the night: “Because you have no teeth.”
Harvey nearly toppled over laughing, barely able to compose himself before the answer surprisingly appeared on the board. “That was pretty good.
John, I wouldn’t have thought of that,” a still-giggling Harvey admitted.
Lakeisha’s “No water” brought the Hunter family their second strike. With the game on the line, Sharon’s final attempt, “Because my hand is broken,” proved too creative for the survey.
Harvey even demonstrated how one might attempt to brush with a broken hand, adding to the hilarity. Unfortunately, it wasn’t on the board, and the Hunter family struck out.
The Shedd family then had a chance to steal the round. After a quick huddle, team leader Drew confidently offered “Because you’ve been passed out.” Despite Harvey’s initial skepticism, the answer made the board, securing the round for the Shedd family and leaving everyone (especially Harvey) thoroughly entertained by the dental dilemmas of America.
