JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A new exhibit celebrating Mississippi’s creativity, industry and cultural influence is opening at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson.
“Mississippi Made,” a special exhibition highlighting the people, industries and creative traditions that have shaped the state and influenced the nation, opens March 7. Timed to coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the exhibit traces more than two centuries of innovation and imagination through approximately 250 artifacts.
Spanning from the early 1800s to today, “Mississippi Made” explores the state’s impact on agriculture, manufacturing, music, fashion, science, literature and the arts…
