ELMHURST, Ill. — A crash involving a semi truck shut down a portion of the inbound Eisenhower Expressway early Thursday morning.
The crash unfolded overnight along the inbound lanes of I-290, just past East St. Charles Road, along the border of Elmhurst and Berkeley.
According to the Illinois State Police, the driver of the truck lost control and drove through temporary concrete barriers before becoming partially wedged between the construction barricades that separated a newly constructed road and the old road.
