New Orleans gang leader gets 30 years in RICO case linked to murders, drug dealing

NEW ORLEANS — A New Orleans gang leader was sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in a violent criminal enterprise that distributed drugs and committed multiple murders, federal prosecutors said.

Tim Jackson, 37, also known as “T-Maf” and “Maf,” was sentenced Feb. 25 by U.S. District Judge for RICO conspiracy, drug trafficking conspiracy, and firearms conspiracy. He’ll also serve five years of supervised release.

According to the Eastern District of Louisiana Department of Justice, after four days of trial, Jackson pleaded guilty and received a 30-year sentence to avoid a possible life sentence if convicted…
