ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Local fighter Jason Sanchez is once again looking to make some noise in the boxing community. The former WBO youth featherweight champion will headline a Kings Promotions card on Saturday, March 14. It will be his second time headlining in nine months.
Sanchez (17-6) will fight Yeyery Castillo (14-1). It will be Sanchez’s second consecutive bout against a highly-touted opponent, which he believes will once again put him in contention for a world title.
“For sure, it gives me confidence, but I’ve always known I could be able to take these guys that are undefeated and top level,” said Sanchez. “I train hard, and all my fights have been real close, and I know I can compete with their level. Hopefully I can get this one, get another win, and bigger and bigger things.”…
