Nearly 900 flights delayed Friday at Denver International Airport amid snowstorm

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver International Airport is currently in a ground delay for departures to the airport, due to “snow or ice.”

The Federal Aviation Administration said departures to DIA are delayed 61 minutes on average, as of 12:21 a.m. The ground delay is in effect from 10:04 a.m. to 7:59 p.m., local time.

As of 12:21 p.m., there have been 876 total delays and 17 canceled flights at DIA Friday, according to FlightAware.

All aircraft departing from DIA are currently being sprayed with deicing fluid to remove snow or ice, the FAA said…
