State launches 27th annual food and fund drive to support Hawaiʻi Foodbank

HONOLULU (Island News) — State leaders on Wednesday launched the 27th Annual State Employees’ Food and Fund Drive, a campaign aimed at raising food and money to support Hawaiʻi Foodbank and its statewide affiliates.

The campaign runs from March 4 through May 8, 2026 and has a goal of raising the equivalent of 400,000 meals for families across the islands.

The initiative brings together the State of Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Foodbank, the University of Hawaiʻi and public sector unions. Since 1999, state employees have participated in the drive to help provide food assistance for local residents facing hunger…
