Programming and lunch service for local senior residents will resume, Monday, March 9, in the Lakeview Center for Active Aging, the Town of Black Mountain announced, March 4.
The facility, which has been closed to the public since floodwaters from Helene submerged the bottom floor, will host gatherings on the upper level.
While the top level was not damaged by the natural disaster, permitted occupancy was reduced to no more than eight people after previously undocumented charring was discovered on beams within the structural support system above the bottom floor.
