Former bookkeeper pleads guilty to embezzling nearly $10 million from Calera pond management company

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A Vance woman has entered a plea deal after she stole more than $10 million from her former employer, a Calera-based pond management company.

Laura Lynn Tucker, who worked as office manager and bookkeeper for Southeastern Pond Management Inc. from 2000 through 2024, signed a federal plea agreement March 1 in which she agreed to plead guilty to six counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
