Upstate NY concert venue to reopen with new owner: ‘What a great opportunity’

An Upstate New York concert venue is reopening under new ownership.

The Mohawk Place in Buffalo is aiming to open by summer, according to Buffalo Business First. New owner Sam Marabella said he plans to see through plans announced last year to convert the building into a nonprofit center for music and arts.

“When an opportunity like this pops up, what a great opportunity,” he told the publication. “This is in my neighborhood, and this is my exact culture and calling. I can’t wait to put wonderful shows in here and work with great partners.”…
