CAPE CORAL, Florida — Richard Steven Chinn, age 47, of Cape Coral, has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries in the Oasis Boulevard area, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.
On November 11, 2025, officers responded to a residence on Oasis Boulevard where a side garage door had been pried open, and items were missing from the garage, including a Cadillac Escalade that was burglarized. The initial estimated loss of $12,027 was later revised to approximately $16,487, comprising frozen food, model cars, tools, and gift cards. The home was occupied at the time of the incident.
Evidence collected at the scene included pry marks, a broken plastic Budweiser cup, a DeWalt drill bit set, and a metal floor-jack arm identified by the victim. A neighbor reported seeing a pickup truck and a male loading items around 4:30 a.m., and residential video footage showed a white pickup, believed to be an older Ford F-150 with a toolbox, in the area around 4:50 a.m…
